It comes to my deep regret that the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Goldsmith killing fair use. What Goldsmith cares about is money not just Prince. What happens next? Museums will have to take their art down or shut down completely because they don't have the license or permission to display someone else's art except those in the Public Domain like Mona Lisa or Nosferatu the silent film vampire or The Jazz Singer as of this year is in public domain. Campbell's soup company can now sue the Warhol Foundation for copying their soup label. However I agree with Justice Kagan's dissent warning that it will stifle creativity meaning fan artists and fan fiction writers would be in legal jeopardy. As of today, all fan art will be taken down and the fan art category will be removed from dA. In a copyright maximalist's version of the world economic forum's goal "own nothing and be happy", "Create nothing and be happy" This would ruling never have happened if Vanity Fair licensed

Alongside Mandatory upload filters, Big media wants the Copyright Office to include mandatory VPN detection tools meaning people who use t-mobile will have to use a different ISP like Xfinity to use YouTube and other services because T-Mobile uses open proxy/VPN. Those who are on T-mobile will no longer be able to access Crunchyroll. Mandatory VPN detection will make internet access worthless it will defib the dying big cable industry. You will no longer access NicoNico.

This can really be a death knell for DeviantArt, according to a TorrentFreak article, The Copyright Office will soon require all websites including DeviantArt to have upload filters similar to the European Union's Article 13 and 17. So If you try to upload fan art of your favorite cartoon or anime, it will get blocked. This is very similar to YouTube's upload filters. It will likely break dA along with social media outlets. Mandatory upload filters will put an end to game emulation and archiving. The Internet Archive that houses websites that are defunct, are opposing the Copyright Office's proposal to impose mandatory upload filters. Mandatory Upload filters are so flawed, it could put indie music artists and independent artists at risk because upload filters can mistakenly block an individual's original art or musical composition because they hold the copyright to their original work. Parry Gripp who owns the copyright to his song "It's raining tacos." he can allow other content
